In 2016, we set up some camera traps to start monitoring local wildlife populations more closely. The trial was a success, as we got a range of footage of nocturnal mammals including foxes and hedgehogs, that would otherwise not be seen.
Working with the City of London Corporation and ZSL, in 2017 we have since set up 60 cameras across the Heath and Kenwood Estate. Cameras are left for a week and then volunteers come back and view the footage. We have been able to capture some amazing views of the local wildlife that would otherwise go unnoticed, including foxes, hedgehogs and grass snakes.
