Weekend opportunities

Join us as an weekend office volunteer at our interpretation centre - this a varied and sociable role, which can be tailored to your skills or interests.

As a weekend office volunteer you can:

• help us welcome visitors to our interpretation centre or at pop-up stalls and events

• give information to visitors about the Heath and how to get around

• chat to visitors about the Heath’s nature and wildlife

• encourage smaller visitors to take part in simple activities such as colouring sheets or trails

• help support and develop our retail and fundraising activities

• help us deliver events on our green spaces

Weekday opportunities

We sometimes have space for weekday office volunteers - a varied role supporting the core office-based functions of our charity.

As a weekday office volunteer you can:

• assist with administration and our communications (website, newsletters, social media etc.)

• support the coordination of our community and volunteering programmes

• help us plan and deliver our public events and activities on our green spaces

• support our fundraising and retail activities

• get personal development opportunities to gain experience in the charity sector

For both opportunities you will work alongside experienced staff to gain knowledge and develop your skills. We want you to:

• have an interest in our work (nature, community engagement, volunteering) and Hampstead Heath

• be comfortable with using computers (training is provided for our systems)

• have good verbal and written communication skills

• work well as part of a team

• be comfortable talking with members of the public
