2023 Annual General Meeting
On 18th July Heath Hands volunteers, Friends, supporters and staff were joined by representatives of our partner organisations to celebrate another fantastic year of activities and projects on Hampstead Heath.
Our office at the Dairy provided a suitable backdrop to reflect on all the efforts of the charity during the 2022/23 financial year and attendees were treated to a whirlwind run-through of the highlights and successes achieved by our team.
Key highlights included:
Over 15,000 hours of volunteering contributed to our green spaces
The 10th anniversary of our Wildlife Interpreting project
The growth of our wildlife monitoring programmes in partnership with organisations such as the London Natural History Society
New developments in our community and wellbeing projects, with a particular focus on youth wellbeing, walking and community partnerships.
The development of our work with Heath Friendly Schools and work experience opportunities, providing learning and training opportunities on our green spaces.

A significant event was the election of Rachel Chapman (pictured right with some of our volunteer walk leaders) as the new Chair of our trustee committee.
Everybody gave thanks to our long-serving former Chair, Cindy Galvin, who led Heath Hands tremendously for a tumultuous but successful 6-year period that encompassed major events such as the Covid pandemic and huge growth for Heath Hands. Also elected to the committee this year was Susie Gorney, and you can find out more about all our trustees and other governance matters here.
After the formalities, everybody shared in a feast of refreshments to mark the successes of the last year.
