Volunteer Session Leader
Join us as a Session Leader and help people get involved and discover our green spaces by sharing your passion and leadership. Click on the button below to apply - as a volunteer Session Leader you can:
help supervise our youth programmes
lead our community outreach activities engaging a variety of different audiences
help lead our interpretation sessions and guided walks
support our Heath Friendly Schools programme and education outings
get training and personal development opportunities to gain experience in the environmental sector
As a Walk Leader you can:
help guide our health and community walks programme
get involved in developing new themed walks on the Heath (e.g. exploring new areas or subject areas)
Session Leaders work alongside experienced staff and volunteers to gain knowledge and develop your skills.
We want you to:
be enthusiastic and have an interest in nature or specific areas of our work
be keen to develop your leadership skills
be comfortable interacting with a variety of audiences, including children and people with additional support needs
work well as part of a team and have good communication skills
volunteer once a month as a minimum
